Mt. Tipton, Mohave County, Arizona
Mt. Tipton

A view from the west near Dolan Springs.

We knew we were getting close.

Josh and big ol' Joshua Trees.

The east face. Don't try this route. It is posted as private property and that you can only acces by permission of some ranch. We went to the ranch.... creepy! Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately) nobody was home. If you do venture to the ranch then beware of the dog. We didn't see him but there was a "the dog will bite you" warning sign and a WHOLE fresh cow leg in the yard that he'd been chewing on.

Josh and I decided to put this bolder on top of the other one so that I could try and balance on them. As you can tell, we had just stared the hike and were quite excited at this point.

Josh spotted some game.

Geodetic marker in the middle of nowhere.

The Pinnacles, another attraction in the Cerbat Mountains.

Oak

Hiking the wash.

Taking a break

The summit is not as close as it looks.

Looking west

Looking south. I shot this picture when the wind was getting REALLY strong. There was a severe weather warning for the area, it was getting late, and we finally decided to give up and turn back here rather then call in for a rescue from the summit.

Josh was sad.

But the views were still incredible.

Heading back to camp.

We'll be back.
