About Me
Hello, English 413 students. My name is Christina Martinez. I am a Mass Communications major with an emphasis in Print Journalism. I am also minoring in English and working towards the Professional Writing Certificate, the primary reason I am taking this course.

I currently work as the Copy Editor and Staff Writer at UNLV's Rebel Yell and have an internship at the Las Vegas Valley Water District. Here, I work in Public Services, particularly a division called the Net Force wherein I've had practice with Dreamweaver and a content manager, Merant Collage. Through these programs, I work on the company's intranet, writing news stories, updating online services for employees, etc.

I graduate in May and plan on going to graduate school. I will focus on a particular sector within the Communication field. Upon completion of English 413, I hope to improve my writing/designing skills geared for the Web. I also hope that I can apply what I learn in this class towards my internship, and vice-versa.
