I am a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Nevada Las Vegas with Dr. John Klicka, Marjorie Barrick Museum of Natural History, UNLV. I obtained my MS in Zoology from BYU. The focus of most of my research is on avian and mammalian ecology and evolution. More specifically, I study breeding and foraging ecology and evolutionary population history using the tools of population genetics and coalescent theory. My dissertation research covers population genetics and evolution of natural populations in a migratory owl.
